High street favourite take to Twitter to announce collaboration with designer Richard Nicoll, Every now and then we hear bit of bridal news that makes our heart skip a beat. And this is one of those moments because we’ve read a tweet from Topshop announcing their first ever range of wedding dresses. Wow!
The Topshop team sent high-street-loving brides-to-be into a tail spin with this 136 character tweet that simply reads “Want to get married just so we can wear our @studio_nicoll bridal collection set to land in June. Can’t give you a sneak peek but wow!”
The full details remain strictly under wraps but the collection will be created by British designer Richard Nicoll who is famed for his use of oh-so-pretty sheer fabrics and girly flowing cuts. He’s already collaborated with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton so we’re expecting great things. No pressure, Richard!
RICHARD NICOLL has created a collection of bridal dresses for Topshop. The dresses, which all feature Nicoll’s signature sculptural shapes and feminine fabrics, will be available from this June – although images are yet to be released.
“Want to get married just so we can wear our @studio_nicoll bridal collection set to land in June,” Topshop Tweeted after its press team revealed the collection at an event today. “Can’t give you a sneak peek but wow!”
Although the collection hasn’t yet been photographed, we hear it’s intended as a “modern alternative to meringue culture”. The offering isn’t Nicoll’s first foray into bridal design, however. He has created dresses for two friends recently – both of which he shared on his blog.
